Careers at Eagle Air
Eagle Air is a SACAA-accredited training organisation at Wonderboom National Airport. Training runs on instructors, ground instruction, operations, quality and safety, and the people who keep a student's week moving.
Opportunities are listed here only when the school is advertising them.
Working here
A training day is a chain of people. Every link is somebody's job.

The roles
The kinds of work a flight school runs on. These are categories, not advertised vacancies — anything the school is actually recruiting for is further down the page.

In the right-hand seat
The right-hand seat: teaching, assessing and signing off a student's progress toward a licence.

In the classroom
The theory behind the flying, and the examination stations where students sit it.

At the front desk
The schedule, the aircraft, the authorisations — the work that decides whether a lesson happens today.

Behind the standard
Holding the standard the school is accredited against, and watching how training actually runs.

Alongside the student
Getting a student enrolled, answering them, and keeping the record straight.

Across the counter
The kit a student needs, and the advice to pick the right version of it.
Aircraft maintenance is handled by a trusted partner organisation on the airport, not by Eagle Air employees.
One lesson, end to end
One lesson, and everyone whose work it passes through.

Opportunities change as the school grows. You can still explore the roles that support flight training and learn about the Instructor Sponsorship pathway.
Instructor Sponsorship applications are open year-round, separately from any advertised vacancy.

From CPL to instructor
Eagle Air's Flight Instructor Sponsorship Programme selects, trains and mentors candidates to become flight instructors — addressing a worldwide shortage of instructors that affects safety, training standards and the future of pilot development.
Guaranteed job placement as a flight instructor
Placement as an Eagle Air instructor follows successful completion of the course, on the terms set out in the formal sponsorship agreement.
In return: approximately 2–3 years as an eagle air flight instructor.
Where to go next
If instructing is where you are heading, the sponsorship programme is open year-round. If you want to understand the school first, start with how it trains.
